From his initial work with ESBA, Robert “Rob” Katz has moved to become Managing Director in EisnerAmper’s Financial Advisory Services Group. With over 35 years of experience in the turnaround industry, he provides assistance to public and private middle-market companies, both in and out of bankruptcy. As these companies face operational or financial challenges, Robert steps in to develop and execute strategies to restructure or improve their operating performance. 

Cash Flow & Operating Improvements

In his current leadership capacity, Rob serves as Interim President, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Restructuring Officer, or Treasurer, helping companies improve their operating performance by preparing statements, schedules, forecasts, and projections, and by negotiating with both secured and unsecured creditors. He also acts as plan administrator, distribution trustee and receiver, and adviser to various company executives, lenders, company managers, private equity funds, and creditors’ committees. He likewise pursues substantial litigation claims and avoidance actions and also serves as an expert witness.

Refinancing & Recapitalization

Rob has helped companies plan for, navigate, and emerge from a 363 sales process, focusing on operating, transforming, and enhancing performance. He has also guided clients through strategic acquisitions, equity capital raises, and divestitures. 
 
Various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, high-tech, retail, hotel/casino, publishing, printing, and service industries, as well as not-for-profit organizations, have likewise sought Rob’s expertise in raising capital, refinancing outstanding debts, securing debtor-in-possession financing, and adding lines of credit and term loans.
